Marketing Strategy

Initial Launch Region

MMP will launch locally by first activating the app in Karlsruhe. With approximately 456,000 inhabitants, the region provides a strong test market with enough population density to validate early adoption patterns and user behavior.

Activation Threshold

After users enter their basic information and complete the questionnaire, they will be informed that the app will only launch once a minimum number of active user profiles has been created by a defined date.

This mechanism generates:

  • Social pressure
  • Viral sharing
  • A sense of exclusivity
  • Community-driven momentum

Wave 2 Competition

In the second wave, Cities/Regions 2–4 will compete for launch priority. The region that reaches the highest number of active user profiles by the deadline unlocks the app first.

This creates a gamified regional competition, increasing motivation and local engagement.

Wave 3 Dynamics

In the next wave, Cities/Regions 3–7 compete. Regions 3–4 have an advantage because they already built momentum in the previous round.

The strategic question becomes: Can regions 5–7 mobilize enough users to overtake the early movers?

This dynamic encourages:

  • Regional pride
  • Local influencer involvement
  • Community-driven recruitment

Ongoing Expansion

This competitive rollout continues wave by wave, creating:

  • Local buzz
  • Regional pride
  • Viral growth loops
  • Predictable scaling

The system ensures that each new region enters the platform with pre‑activated demand, reducing cold-start problems.

Feature Tree

In parallel, the app will include a Feature Tree, similar to a Skill Tree in gaming.

Users can influence which features are developed next by completing challenges, participating in community votes, or reaching engagement milestones.

This approach:

  • Increases user ownership
  • Makes development transparent
  • Creates a sense of co‑creation
  • Aligns feature development with real user needs
